The foundation of our organization began long before our official establishment. It started with the life of Pastor Rex Tipoti Mbewe, who dedicated himself to Jesus in 1980. For decades, he lived a life of quiet compassion, eventually retiring from his career as a trash driver in 2022 to return to his home village. This transition was not a retirement from work, but a new beginning in ministry; he immediately planted a church and began reaching out to those the world had forgotten—the elderly, the disabled, and the orphaned.
Pastor Mbewe’s mission was fueled by the neglect he witnessed in rural communities. He saw elderly citizens suffering under the weight of poverty and false witchcraft accusations, and orphans struggling without basic school supplies. Driven by the "Great Commission," he traveled across Malawi, planting more than 20 churches in rural areas including Kasungu, Nkhotakota, Dowa, Nchinji, and Lilongwe. His work did more than just spread the Gospel; it saved lives by reducing violence against the elderly and keeping children in school.
Alinafe Global Outreach was officially established on October 20, 2025, just twelve days after Pastor Mbewe passed away. The name "Alinafe"—meaning "God with Us" in Nyanja/Chewa—was chosen to honor his belief that no matter the hardship, God remains present with His people. Today, we exist to carry forward his specific vision: to deepen the love of Jesus, bring hope to the hopeless, and end the cycle of poverty in Malawi.
Our purpose is rooted in the "Great Commission"—the call to expand God's Kingdom by doing exactly what Jesus commanded: loving our neighbors and caring for the "least of these." We exist to deepen the love of Jesus in Malawi, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our society—orphans, the elderly, and the displaced are never forgotten. We are here to bridge the gap between despair and hope.
Our mission is to provide hope and love in the community to end both physical and spiritual starvation. We believe a person cannot thrive if their stomach is empty or if their soul is discouraged. By providing food, resources, and the Word of God, we aim to nourish the whole person, moving them from a state of survival to a life of abundance.
We envision a community thriving and united by God’s love, where people have the tools to overcome spiritual and material poverty. This vision is achieved through three specific pillars:
Acting with kindness, humility, and
gentleness toward those in need
(Colossians 3:12).
Operating with a high level of honesty
and ethical conduct (Micah 6:8).
Demonstrating a strong dedication to
serving those experiencing poverty
and show them they are loved.
Being responsible and efficient in
managing the resources God has
entrusted us with (1 Peter 4:10).
Being passionate about ministry work
and living out the gospel.
Valuing diversity and encouraging
cross-cultural engagement (Galatians 3:28).
